What is Plastic Pigment?

What is Plastic Pigment?
Pigment dyes are not only colorant for textile and plastic, they got a numerous applications in multiple manufacturing industries, the cosmetic that we use, the colored pills we take, the shoes and shirts we wear, our colored windows, bed and bath, the stylish tinted cars and glowing car interiors, even the food we eat all are because of the plastic and Fluorescent Pigments.
Plastic Pigments are the most used colorant in plastic and rubber industry, pigments are added in plastic manufacturing during the process as an additive ingredient rather than after the manufacturing is done like paints, pigments are also used in paints to give color to things that are supposed to stay within the same shade for a longer time like cars and metallic long-lasting thing pipes and fixtures in factories and houses.
Pigment can be categorized by nature, for instance some are water based and some are oil and polymer based, those which are use in plastic manufacturing are polymer based. Polymers are actually hydrocarbons made of crude oil, and as the number of hydrogen and carbon changes in the compound the nature of the polymer changes so does its strength, color absorbent properties, heat and weather resistance.

In the next post we will discuss the categories of pigments by nature and explains our pigments properties being manufacture in our well equipped factories.

A brief intro to fluorescent pigments for industries!

Fluorescent pigment manufacturers specially formulate pigments which have the ability to glow in special lighting. Mostly long wave, ultra violet lights which are also known as black lights are used to cause these pigments to exhibit a glowing characteristic. These are used in many art forms and also in many fashion accessories like t-shirts, shoes and laces. Many musical bands and wrestlers use specially designed fluorescent accessories to make their entrance and presence more ostentatious.
