Colorant dyes age; from Natural pigments to Microbial colorants!

Earlier then nineteenth century, natural colours were only the colouring source available for both textile and pottery and traded widely, used as wealth creation tool by Chinese masters, since after the preface of chemically reengineered synthetic dyes the textile and ceramic industry found cheaper sources of colours and due to the synthetic colours they were able to reduce their cost and compete in the international market.

Among synthetic dyes Azo dyes are most famous and frequently used colorants in industrial manufacturing, but due to the environmental concerns by some countries the natural pigments and colorants never lost its value and demand in colorant industries just because of its biodegradability and more flexibility with the environment and human health.
Microbial Pigments usage is being investigated form last few years. Chemical Scientists are insisting on the potentiality of microbial pigments as natural colorants; however all the researches are still in testing face, may be history will repeat itself and microbial pigment replace azo pigments and Plastic Pigments.

Selecting the Plastic Pigment
A right shade and proper colour schemes gives the prominent affect to the final product based on plastic polymer, which is why to make the product eye catching and attractive plastic manufacturer spend a lot of time in selecting the right Plastic Pigment colorant. Plastic has now the essential presence in every product due to its long life and smart colour verity which can be easily produced in plastics.
Durability and strength of plastic products is dependent on plastic pigments, wrong choice of the pigment and additives can vanish the products original required shades, most often the manufacturer are dependents on Technical data sheets being provided by the pigment suppliers and manufacturers but now the sense and intelligence is established in manufacturer due to the certification provided by different institutions to the pigment manufacturers.
The selection of the pigment is largely dependent on the types of the base polymer being adopted by the manufacturer, there are wide range of universal pigment available with Chinese manufacturers that can be fit with any polymer or additives, for instance some inorganic pigments can be useful with , nylon, polyester, acrylics, PVC, PMMA, PETP etc
Another important and decisive factor in choosing the colouring agent is its compatibility with the base resin, which ensures the prevention of a colour alter over the time. Resun Colour has the ability to manufacturer such pigments on wide range.
